Quick Update
I previously reviewed the embroidered sherpa blanket from Printful.
At the time, one of my biggest gripes with the product was the small embroidery area. The overall blanket is 50″ x 60″ but the maximum available embroidery size at the time was only 4″ x 4″.
Well, I noticed a few months ago that the advertised 10″ x 6″ option was actually live! And – even more exciting – you could upload a design rather than being limited to their built-in design tool.
(With some products offering larger embroidery areas – such as the denim jacket – you were previously limited to using the design tool rather than being able to upload something completely custom.)
I placed a sample order in early November and received the blanket in 9 calendar days.
Here’s a comparison between the sample with the 4″ x 4″ embroidery and the new, larger size.
Overall, I’m quite pleased with the quality of the embroidery. Obviously, since it covers a larger area, you see some different stitch types used to fill the space.
The green lettering is in a flat satin stitch. The fill in bright pink that makes up the broom is what’s called a tatami stitch.
Overall, this is a great enhancement. Now if they would only expand the color options of the blankets themselves.
